Lauren Congelli holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Western Washington University. A soprano, she sang in the highly select Concert Choir, the Western Voices Chamber Ensemble, and the Advanced Women’s Chorale. Additionally, Lauren served as soprano section leader of the Concert Choir, organizing and leading rehearsals among her peers. She has sung with the Seattle Symphony Chorale and was also featured in Vivaldi’s Gloria with The Whatcom Symphony Orchestra.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Lauren was invited to participate in Western’s graduate level choral conducting class. She was selected as one of eight national undergraduate finalists in the American Choral Directors Association’s Conducting Competition and participated in the competition finals at the ACDA National Convention in Miami.
Her past experience ranges from teaching in senior high, junior high, and elementary schools, to directing musical theatre, to teaching voice and piano privately. She currently works with a children’s theatre in Pacific Palisades as assistant director.
