SOL-LA performs a combination of outreach, through providing high quality music instruction in local schools, and inclusion, where underserved youth in the community are brought onto the SOL-LA campus to participate in classes, choir and ensemble work.
SOL-LA is committed to a strong scholarship program aimed at cultural diversity, with the long-term goal of creating satellite programs at schools around the city.
In keeping with our core belief that music is in everyone and for everyone, we are working in tandem with other non-profit arts groups such as American Youth Symphony, P.S.Arts and New Visions Foundation to identify individual children and segments of the community that lack the resources for arts education. SOL-LA provides tuition assistance to 60% of students at our on-campus and satellite programs.
Please contact us if you are interested in bringing SOL-LA to your school or organization.

SOL-LA in the Community
SOL-LA’s Music Program at Saint Anne School provides music education and instruments to 270 students, grades K-8, free of charge. Saint Anne is the only non-public Title 1 School in Santa Monica, with at least 40% of students come from economically disadvantaged households. The music program has become an integral part of the curriculum at Saint Anne with classes in violin, viola, cello, chorus, orchestra and music appreciation. Saint Anne students also receive significant tuition assistance to participate in classes and ensembles at the SOL-LA campus.
