Heifetz International Music Institute

16 year old SOL-LA and Heifetz student Kaya Ralls performs the Prelude from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1008. This is Kaya’s first summer attending Heifetz. Enjoy as she seeks to “take you on a journey through this piece that has such a soulful nature.”

Gil Shaman and Violinist.com editor Laurie Niles host the happiest hour of online violin-talk. Please join them as Jasmine Li, violin student of Margaret Lysy, is featured as a special guest. Jasmine performs Kabalevsky’s Violin Concerto in C major, 1st movement, accompanied by herself on the piano.


SOL-LA and The Broad Stage present  The Classical Hour

Enjoy the beauty of classical performance, performed from intimate rooms, in your home. SOL-LA students collaborate with The Broad Stage and world renowned Classical artists, cellist Antonio Lysy, violist Richard Yongjae O’Neill, cellist Lynn Harrell and violinist/vocalist Lucia Micarelli.

Founded in 2007, SOL-LA Music Academy is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) performing arts community school whose mission is to provide high quality music education to students from all backgrounds and economic circumstances, in an engaging and encouraging environment fostering achievement and community. Lessons and classes are taught by highly accomplished and dedicated music educators and performers. Enrollment is open to students pre-K to adult.

Our comprehensive program reflects the belief that vibrant cultural education nurtures all areas of learning, connects diverse societies and enhances enjoyment of life.
