Alison Spieth Perrine

Teaching Artist


Alison Spieth Perrine received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in viola performance from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was a Teaching Associate in the string department. She also received her MM and BA from UCLA studying with Paul Coletti and Richard O’Neill. She is an active chamber musician, and has played in the Dilijan Chamber Music Series at Zipper Hall, as well as LACMA’s Sundays Live broadcast concert series.

Alison has participated in masterclasses with Paul Neubauer, Helen Callus, Atar Arad, Victoria Chiang, Steven Dann, James Dunham, Gilad Karni, Francois Paradis, Stuart Canin, Hal Grossman, Ida Kavafian, Rohan de Saram, and the Borromeo, Alexander, Avalon, and JACK String Quartets. She has attended and performed in numerous summer programs including The Banff Centre in Alberta, Le Domaine Forget in Quebec, and the Festival Pablo Casals in France.

Alison is currently a freelance violist and instructor in the Los Angeles area, and loves teaching students of all ages and levels.
